Water users can sometimes increase their supply by reusing water. While water rights vary by state, water users may be allowed to physically reuse water by either direct (piped) or indirect (exchanges or augmentation) means for potable (treated) or non-potable (irrigation or industrial) reuse. Assuming that each use consumes 50 percent of the supply, reusing the water to extinction will effectively double the original water supply.

High Country Hydrology can provide the modeling necessary to determine the yield of a reuse system, the amount of storage required to maximize the amount reused, and how water reuse affects the water quality of conservative constituents.
