We have developed some specialty tools for water resources engineering. Here are a few that we can share.

Maptools - This web page, based on Google Maps, lets you find a point's location (UTM, latitude-longitude, elevation), measure distance, measure area, and locate parcels with legal descriptions from the Public Land Survey System (PLSS). A bearing-range tool lets you pin-point water rights and other features from a reference location. The map also gives you a choice of road, terrain, satellite, USGS topo, and PLSS maps.

Smartmap - Institutional knowledge is disappaering as people retire, particularly in the water business. We developed our Smartmap to be a map-based filing cabinet to organize documents, images, and important instutional knowledge by location. You can copy page files and modify it to suit your own needs.
